 | George Ed Clark
|
| | | A part of our legacy
Chief Eddie Clark stands alongside Engine 1 on February 9th, 2009, just prior to delivering the truck to our brother firefighters at the Tolers Creek Fire Dept.
|
| | | "Goodbye, old friend"
With tears in his eyes and sadness in his heart, this would be the last time Chief Clark would drive Engine 1 before it was sold later in the afternoon to the Tolers Creek Fire Dept.
|
| | | How many times have we all seen this???
Engine 1 leaves the fire station and enters onto U.S. 23 for the final time on Feb. 9th, 2009.
|
| | | Just like old times with Edward
Chief Eddie Clark and his grandson, Steven, stop and pose for a picture as they get ready to take Engine 1 to Tolers Creek Fire Dept. It is suspected that Steven will join our explorers' program when he turns 14 years old in March thus allowing for three active generations in our dept.

| | | Leaving the station for the final time
Chief Eddie Clark (behind mirror) pulls Engine 1 out of its bay at the station for the last time on February 9th, 2009.

| | | What a wreck!!!
The Betsy Layne Fire Dept. pays tribute to those who lost their homes during the 2008 Texas Hurricane. Firefighter Buddie Delpont's truck sits off to the left. Buddie is a claims adjuster and took this picture of the disaster during his work in Texas.
|
| | | "Congratulations, Dad"
Firefighter Brian White poses for a picture with his mother, Billie Joyce, and Billie's father, George Ed Clark. Mr. Clark is a World War II Army veteran and is a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 169 at Betsy Layne.
|
| | | We love our Disabled American Veterans
Firefighter Brian White and his wife, Michelle, pose for a picture with Brian's grandfather, George Ed Clark. Mr. Clark was honored during Patriots' Day 2008 as being the oldest, living veteran in Floyd county.
