All of the things I am reading about on this site are very impressive. I can't tell you how PROUD I am of all of my family members that continue to serve in the fire department. Eddie, Edward, Brian and Steven. I know that you all are dedicated to this and taking care of the people that live in this community. Keep up the good work! I appreciated the article about George Ed and his MANY years of service to Kentucky and this country. Love to all of you!

Hey Guys,
It has been a while since I have commented on your work and service to service to the Betsy Layne Community and area.
You are in my prayers and I consider each of you heroes for the seriousness you give to the work required of firemen.
Much goes on behind the scenes which no one ever sees.
Keep up the good work .
God bless each of you and protect your every effort in servic to B.L.V.F.D.

I was the driver of the green mini-van on Oct. 3, 2008. I've been looking at the pictures on the site for a while, not for any reason in particualr, just trying to figure things out. Obviously, I'm lucky to be alive, my grandmother wasn't, and there was nothing that could be done, I witnessed her pass away right after impact.

But I'm not writing to depress anyone, I just wanted to express my feelings towards the Betsy Layne Fire Department. Thank you, with every fiber of my being, thank you. Those words don't just come from me, but from my grandpa and uncle, the other survivors of the wreck. I know without such a quick response to the scene, I and possibly my grandfather might have also passed away. It must take very highly trained and disciplined individuals to perform such a job, and we appreciate everyone that was involved that night.

My grandfather and I live just a few miles away from Betsy Layne here at Mullins/Coal Run. Though we're currently both still in wheelchairs, one day we hope to walk into the office and personally thank everyone, until then, God bless you all.
